Green Teen Challenge

Fight to protect the environment! During the month of April the library is challenging local area teens to become the Meanest Greenest Teen. Pick up your log and turn it in by April 30th and receive an eco-friendly Going Green tote bag just for participating. When you’ve turned in your completed log, you will be automatically entered to win a Wii Fit video game. As a special bonus, every book or audio visual item checked out from the Going Green display in the library lobby will earn you additional chances to win the Wii Fit game. Be sure to request a ticket when checking out any ‘going green’ item to maximize your chances to win! All entries for the drawing must be turned in by 5 p.m., April 30th to be eligible.

Storytime
Introduce your child to the world of reading and the excitement of live storytelling at the Quincy Public Library’s weekly storytimes! Each storytime incorporates thematic books, crafts, music and more during 45 minute sessions. In addition to
daytime storytimes, the Library offers an evening storytime twice a month.

Puppet Shows
Share the magic of live puppetry with your children at the Quincy Public Library’s very own Puppet Theater. A new week-long show is presented each month with
both daytime and evening shows.

Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board is designed to give teens a voice about the materials, services and programs the Library has to offer. It’s a great way for teens to meet
others who share a love for books, movies, games and more! The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month, at 4:00 p.m.

Foreign Flicks
Explore the world through the monthly Foreign Flicks series. Each month, a new critically acclaimed foreign film is shown. Movies are shown in the Library Meeting Room and popcorn and refreshments are provided.

Book Discussion Groups
Share your love of reading with other like-minded adults. The Library is a proud sponsor of four book discussion groups. These book discussion groups meet at different times and locations and offer a wide variety of choices. Whether you are
a free-spirited reader or comfortable with structure, the Library has the book discussion group for you!
