Get a Library Card

If you reside or own property within the city limits of Quincy, Illinois, you may sign up for a free Quincy Public Library card.

If you reside or own property within the townships of Melrose, Riverside, or Ellington and live in Quincy Public School District #172, you may sign up for a free Tri-Quincy Area Public Library District Card.

Residents or property owners of Gilmer township in the Liberty School District #2 are also eligible for a free Tri-Quincy Area Public Library District card.

If you are not a resident of Quincy or the above areas, you may purchase a non-resident library card at the Circulation desk. Please Call 223-1309 ext. 207 for more details.

Your library card will be processed within 24 hours. 

You have 30 days to visit the Library and pick up your new card.  Please present a photo identification card, such as a driver's license or student i.d. card and proof of your current address when requesting your card.  If you are under 18, you will need a parent with you to pick up your card.
