The Friends of the Library have announced dates for their 2013 Book Sales.  A special mini-sale will be held on January 25 and 26, 2013.  This sale will feature fiction books only, in both hardback and paperback.  Hours for the sale are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days.

The Spring Book Sale will be April 4, 5, and 6, 2013.  The Fall Book Sale will be October 3, 4, and 5, 2013.

All book sales are held in the Library's Large Meeting Room.  The sales offer gently used books, audio books, VHS tapes, DVDs, collectible books, and compact discs at bargain prices.  All proceeds benefit the Quincy Public Library.

SECONDHAND PROSE

“Secondhand Prose,” a gently used book store operated by the

Friends of the Quincy Public Library, is a year old!  Thank you to everyone who has made the Friends' book store such a success.  We look forward to many more great years at the Library.

Regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The book store is located inside the entrance of the Library.

Coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate are available for purchase.   All proceeds from the book store benefit the library.

Book donations for Secondhand Prose may be dropped off at the book store any time during regular Library hours.  The Friends do not accept donations of textbooks, encyclopedias or magazines.

If you would like to become a Friend of the Library and volunteer to work at Secondhand Prose, please contact the Friends at (217) 223-1309, ext 257 or by e-mail.
