Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Enter QPL’s Literary Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

Decorate a pumpkin or gourd as a book character or with a literary theme and drop off at the Children’s Desk between Oct. 19-Oct. 22. All pumpkins will be on display in our Children’s Department from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29. Be sure to check our facebook page to vote on your fan favorite pick!

Deadline extended! Pumpkins can be submitted until Tuesday, Oct. 27!

Contest Rules:

• The library cannot accept carved pumpkin submissions.  Only painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered into the contest.
• Contest submissions may be dropped off at the library between Monday, October 19, 2020 at 9 am and Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 6 pm.
• All contest submissions must be accompanied by a Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest Entry Form
• One winner will be chosen from each of the following age categories: young kids (ages 7 and under), tween (ages 8-12), teens (ages 13-17) and adults (ages 18 and up). Winners will receive a $25 Chamber Bucks Gift Certificate.
• All pumpkins must be picked up by noon on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  Pumpkins that are not picked up by this time will be disposed of.
