Program Highlight: Read & Feed

Folks at Quincy Public Library love working together with our community organizations. And we are doing just that by partnering with the Quincy Juneteenth Organization to present the "Read & Feed Free Meals Program." This program is partly being sponsored by a grant from the Ralph Oakley Fund through the Community Foundation.

What is the program?
Great question! Every other Thursday from February 5th to May 14th, people can enjoy a meal and programming at the Frederick Ball Apartments. Our incredible Outreach team will be available to help people sign up for library cards or even checkout books if they already have a card. In addition, staff will lead a Storytime followed by a craft.

What is Storytime?
Storytime is a 15 to 20-minute block of time when a librarian will read a story from On the Block: Stories of Home. The book explores the connections between the group of residents in the Entrada apartment complex.

Does it cost money?
NO! The "Read & Feed" program is totally FREE! And no sign-up is required.
