National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries from September 15 to October 15. 

You may have noticed that the Quincy Public Library has some smaller displays that last roughly a week. These displays can be fun topics (like Shark Week) or they could be things that shoutout days that last a short amount of time (like Mother's Day or Father's Day).

We wanted to take a moment to look at a juxtaposition currently happening within the walls of the Quincy Public Library. We simultaneously tackle harder topics, while trying to spread joy.

The President of the United States is our highest elected office and so far, there has not been a female president. In movies and television, there are many fictional female presidents. To gain some insight into the history of women and the presidency, check out these titles!

Beyond the Vikings, what do you know about  Minnesota? Minnesota has so much more to offer beyond its State Fair and  its 10,000 lakes. To learn more about this Midwest state, check out these titles in the library’s catalog!
