What If?: Alternate History in Fiction

There are turning points where a decision, action, or refusal to act changed the course of history. Historians as well as everyone else have pondered what if something had changed.  For example, what if Napoleon never invaded  Russia or the Civil War had never happened?

You may have noticed that the Quincy Public Library has some smaller displays that last roughly a week. These displays can be fun topics (like Shark Week) or they could be things that shoutout days that last a short amount of time (like Mother's Day or Father's Day).

What's the Big Deal About Big Read?

In 2024, the Quincy Public Library (QPL) has once again attained the prestigious National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Big Read grant. The Big Read awards recipients up to $20,000 to execute community-wide programming around a chosen book.
