Event Details

Join the Quincy Public Library for an LGBT History Month discussion. Macy Ferguson-Smith, Christopher Taylor, & Lora Tate, local professionals & activists, will be on site to discuss a few topics for the LGBT community.

Topics on the table (time permitting):
-LGBT history
-Challenges faced by the LGBT community
-How to self-advocate from within the LGBT community
-How to advocate for the LGBT community as an ally

There is the potential for tougher topics to be discussed within this program & as a result, this is an adult only program. However, this is also an opportunity to learn about the LGBT community & to become more confident in your advocacy (whether it be self advocacy or as an ally.)
