Program Type:
Local History & GenealogyProgram Description
Event Details
The Quincy Public Library's Reference Librarian/resident researcher will be available for a couple of hours in the morning on the first Saturday of the month for research-based needs. During this time, she can assist with whatever you are researching & answer questions relating to local history & genealogy while you are at the library or if you have hit a wall in your own research. If you are in a hurry, you can just stop by & drop off a research request, as well. (Please note that research requests can take several days to complete. If you bring in a request at this time, please attach your name & contact information to allow the Reference Librarian to return the found information to you.)
This would also be a good opportunity for students who are working on projects & papers to stop by for help on their research.
All of this will occur within the Illinois Room of the Quincy Public Library. Additionally, the Quincy Public Library does not complete work for patrons of any age. We are here to help with information-gathering, to provide access to computers (& very basic tech support when necessary), to answer questions, & to help find materials related to the topic(s) you are working on.
