You asked, we listened! For those of you who could not/cannot attend evening programs due to work, we are repeating this program during the daytime so evening shift workers can gain from it as well! This is the exact same program held on April 24th.
Welcome to Part One of QPL's Self-Sufficiency Series: Grow Where You Are, With What You Have
Food prices are skyrocketing, and even before prices started going up, more and more people have been interested in learning how grow their own food. Grocery store food is ladened with pesticides, fungicides, chemicals, GMOs, cancer-causing artificial coloring... most people have had enough! Want to be more self-sufficient? Follow QPL's new program series!
In part one, we will talk about the basics of beginning gardening, no matter where you are:
- No yard? No problem!
- starting plants from seed vs. buying plants
- incorporating pollinator plants
- choosing how you want to garden (containers, in-ground, raised bed)
- Vertical gardens
...and more.
You'll get your hands dirty and get to take home some seedlings, too!
This is part of a series of six programs. QPL wants to give you the opportunity to learn as much as you can during this series. Anyone who attends all six programs will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card!
