Event Details
Black History Month began as a way of remembering events and important people of African and Afro-Caribbean ancestry. The catalyst for Black History Month was created in 1926 in the United States, when Carter G. Woodson and the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH) announced "Negro History Week" in February, becoming a month-long celebration in 1970. As a result, the 2026 national Black History Month theme is "A Century of Black History Commemorations."
In honor of 100 years of commemorating Black History, join us at QPL for some Black history Trivia. Test how much you know about Black History, compete with friends, learn something new, and take a chance on winning some merch!
Light refreshments provided.
