Welcome to Part Four of QPL's Self-Sufficiency Series: Dry Preservation of Your Crops

Canning isn't the only way to preserve your garden vegetables, fruits, and greens. Join us in part four of the series to learn about the multiple methods of preserving your garden produce.

Drying preserves your food for long-term use. Dried produce shrinks drastically, taking little storage space and requiring no refrigeration. In drying your food, you can enjoy healthy produce year-round, saving some hits to your wallet, while sacrificing almost no nutritional quality.

In this program, we will cover what and how to sun-dry, dry canning, hanging, dehydration, oven-drying, and touch briefly upon freeze-drying.

This is part of a series of six programs. QPL wants to give you the opportunity to learn as much as you can during this series. Anyone who attends all six programs will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card!
